These play all ranges of music and movies very well. There is not as much low-end bass as I would expect from 2 8″ drivers unless I add it from the receiver (Sony STR-DA1000ES). My receiver only pushes 100 watts/channel, which I was worried, would not be enough… I was wrong. Eric Clapton and the Eagles never sounded so good! If you’re looking for high quality sound with tight bass notes and crisp highs, these are your speakers. I’ve had a pair of these speakers for over 2.5 years now. They sound absolutely great. I’m golden ears certified, and do high level audio engineering for live bands, and so I am picky about a really clean and crisp sound.
